OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100
OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100
OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 is one of the world's best-known labels for textiles tested for harmful substances. It stands for customer trust and high product safety. Find out here what STANDARD 100 means and why it is worth paying attention to this label when buying items.
What does the label say?
If a textile item has been awarded the STANDARD 100 label, you can rest assured that all components of this item, and other accessories, have been tested for harmful substances and that the item is therefore harmless to health. The test is carried out by our independent OEKO-TEX® Institutes based on our extensive OEKO-TEX® Criteria catalog carried out. In the testing process, they take into account numerous substances, both regulated and non-regulated, that could harm human health. In many cases, the limit values set for STANDARD 100 go beyond national and international specifications. The catalog of criteria is updated at least once a year and expanded to include new scientific findings or legal requirements.
Which items can be certified?
For certification according to the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 is generally suitable for textile products at all stages of processing, from yarns to refined fabrics and finished items. According to a "modular principle" We check all individual components and ingredients before the end product can bear the STANDARD 100 label. This includes textile materials, yarns as well as zippers and fillings. The coatings are also tested for harmful substances based on the criteria that apply to them. Goods awarded with the STANDARD 100 label signal trust.
